A coping mechanism used by marginalized groups to process frustration, exhaustion, and systemic disadvantage. ND people use TNTD to laugh about real pain. This is a well-documented and healthy form of expression.

TNTD originated organically in neurodivergent communities on TikTok as a meme about social norms, masking, and ND identity. The overwhelming majority of people using TNTD have no awareness of or connection to TND or any hate movement whatsoever.

✗ Not connected to white supremacy or TND
TNTD echoes the format of TND (a white supremacist acronym listed by the ADL as a hate symbol) but inverts it satirically. It is a parody of that format aimed at social power structures, not a racial group. TNTD does not endorse, promote, or connect to white supremacy, TND, or any racist ideology.
✗ Not representative of the ND community's views
The vast majority of people using TNTD understand it as dark humor and irony — not a genuine desire for any harm to neurotypical people. It is closer to saying 'I hate Mondays' than to any kind of serious statement. Most people using it are just making a joke.
✗ Not created to discredit ND communities
Some have speculated that bad actors or trolls created TNTD content to make ND communities look extremist. There is no evidence of this. The most credible origin is organic dark humor from TikTok.

Our position
We believe neurodivergent and neurotypical people both deserve dignity, respect, and systems that work for them. TNTD is a way of imagining what the world would look like if ND people set the defaults — not to establish a new hierarchy, but to reveal that the current one is arbitrary.
